Inicjatywa stworzenia sztandaru pochodzi\u0142a od pu\u0142kownika Sosabowskiego, kt\u00f3rego zdaniem sztandar musia\u0142 zosta\u0107 wykonany w okupowanej Warszawie.<\/p>\n<p>Kapitan Maciej Kalenkiewicz sprowadzi\u0142 wst\u0119pny projekt do Warszawy. Sztandar ochrzczono potajemnie 3 listopada 1942 r. w ko\u015bciele Si\u00f3str Kanoniczek. Podczas uroczysto\u015bci ko\u015bcio\u0142a strzegli \u017co\u0142nierze Armii Krajowej.<\/p>\n<p>15 czerwca 1944 r. 1 Samodzielna Brygada Spadochronowa przyj\u0119\u0142a sztandar z okupowanej Polski podczas uroczysto\u015bci, kt\u00f3re mia\u0142y miejsce w Cupar\/Fifeshire w Szkocji. Po mszy \u015bwi\u0119tej delegat z Polski odczyta\u0142 \u201eAkt przekazania sztandaru\u201d i wr\u0119czy\u0142 sztandar prezydentowi Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej na uchod\u017astwie. Nast\u0119pnie genera\u0142 Sosabowski przej\u0105\u0142 sztandar i przekaza\u0142 go w r\u0119ce pocztu sztandarowego,po czym poczet sztandarowy przemaszerowa\u0142 wzd\u0142u\u017c brygady.
