Elke tweede zaterdag in september organiseert Luctor et Emergo de Polentocht in Driel.
\nMet deze tocht worden hen die in september 1944 aan het einde van de tweede wereldoorlog voor onze vrijheid vochten aan de oevers van de Rijn herdacht. De wandeltocht leidt u, over verschillende routes, langs de Rijn.
\nDaar waar de geallieerden een hevige strijd hebben geleverd met de Duitse onderdrukkers. Langs elke route passeert u verschillende herdenkings monumenten.
\nHet motto van de wandeltocht is: \u201cWij bewegen om even stil te staan bij hen die vochten voor ons voortbestaan.\u201d<\/p>\n
